1 - Here you'll battle a troll cook and some of his hobgoblin friends. You'll find some Bolts +2 and Arrows +2 when you search through the room afterwards. 2 - This room houses a pretty tough fight... about 5-6 vampires, so watch out. You can search the room for some Darts of Wounding. 3 - A Greater Wraith is the only inhabitant of this room. Dispatch of him and you'll find some Darts of Stunning, Bullets +2, and the Chapel Key (anybody remember what this key unlocks?). 4 - Here you'll meet a woman named Samia. She'll ask you to retrieve some papers from King Strohm III's tomb, which is located up at #5. You'll need the Mask of King Strohm III to enter the tomb, which is broken into various pieces. To construct it, kill each of the guardians in the maze of tunnels and take their respective piece. When finished, the mask will automatically appear in your inventory. Additionally, when you head north into the long tan corridor just above, be prepared for a difficult fight with a Beholder. 5 - This is King Strohm III's tomb. You'll need the mask to continue (refer to #4), but once inside you can loot the tomb for a Dragonslayer sword and a Dragon Scale shield. Samia will show up and show her evil side; she'll explain that she used you to get in the tomb and attack you with the help of some goons. After winning, you'll get some more loot. A Battle Axe +2, Large Shield +2, Wand of Fear, Medium Shield +1, and Plate Mail +1 can be looted after battle. 6 - There is a well in this room. You can crank the bucket up to the top, which holds the Dragon Helm, but then you'll have to fight an Air Elemental that comes up with it. 7 - Just outside this hidden cavern, you'll have to slay a Greater Werewolf, so it's best to be prepared. However, within the actual cave, you'll have a very tough fight. An Adamantite Golem and a couple other Stone Golems will attack you upon entering (I'd suggest reading through our many strategies on defeating golems in our Strategy Guides section to help win this battle). Once you win, you can find a nice bow, Heartseeker +3, and a Beljuril gem in a niche at the end of the cave. 7a - Here you'll find a couple of werewolves and a greater werewolf. Some good items in the 2 rooms here include 40 Bolts +2, 20 Bolts of Biting, 20 Darts of Stunning, 40 Arrows of Ice, the Horn of Blasting, and scrolls of Hold Undead, Hold Monster, and Chaos. 8 - Here you'll face Tazok (he was Sarevok's goon in Baldur's Gate I). He is now loyal to Lord Jierdan Firkraag and will put up a pretty good fight. Alongside him is Chief Digdag, so you'll have to kill him as well. You can loot a Two Handed Sword +2, Full Plate Mail +1, and Delver's Plate +2 once you've bested them. Garren's daughter/son (his child's gender depends upon your protaganist's gender) is locked up in a cell here, but you'll need to descend to Windspear Hills 4 in order to find the key. Lastly, upon scouring the room, you can find yourself two Rogue Stones. |
