1)
House of Talisman. In the bottom of this building there is a puzzle you must solve to get the
Talisman of Rillifane, needed to summon the Avatar that will help you by opening the gates to
the palace, that Irenicus has sealed off. You can decipher the Elven priest stone upstairs
which will give you hints on solving the riddle, but we have the answers right here for ya. The order in which
you push the buttons is as follows: The rune of Correllan Lotharium, The Symbol of Rillifane, The Symbol of Water,
The Rune that Denotes the Tree of Life, and finally The Rune of Suldanessellar. Upstairs you find the Elven priest
stone and a scroll of Time Stop, which comes in very handy when you face Irenicus.
2)
Demin's House. Out front of this building you will face a deamon and a fairly powerful caster named Ramilat.
Inside Demin is being attacked by three Raksasha. Having Zone of Sweet Air readied for this part would
be extremely helpful, although I got by without it, but it cost me a lot of health. This is also where
you receive the quest to retrieve the Talisman of Rillifane, the Moonblade, and the Goblet of life. After
retrieving these three items you will take them to 7) and place them in an alter to summon the elven Avatar.
Additionally, while you're here, you can grab the Girdle of Stone Giant Strength off of one of the Raksasha's
corpses. This item seriously rocks, so make sure you don't miss it.
3)
Harpist's House. The outside of this house is guarded by a large contingent of golems, including adomite golems.
Its best if you haste and summon a few pets for this area. Inside you discover the Stone Harp, which is used
to gain access to the palace, once you are past the gates that Irenicus has sealed off.
4)
Inside this house you witness the final moments of a battle between and deamon and an elf. They both perish,
and on the elf's remains you find the Moonblade.
5)
Hose of Horn. Inside this building you find the Stone Horn, the second piece required to gain access to the
elven palace, once past the gates. You also get the Cloak of Elvenkind.
6)
This is the fun part. You will want to be rested and ready before going down to the landing field. Once you
load this zone, don't move, start buffing! Why you ask?
Nizidramanii'yt is why, the second black dragon you face in Baldur's Gate II. However, this one is more
powerful. He casts things like "Miscast Magic" and "Entangle".
These make him far more formidable than the other dragons you have faced up to this point, but you yourself are
much stronger, and I had a much easier time defeating this foe. He drops the Goblet of Life, the final piece
needed in summoning the Avatar. He also drops , a nice piece of elven chainmail.
7)
Temple of Rillifane. Once again, zone of sweet air could be handy both inside and outside of here. Outside
you face five Rakasha, which are pretty easy, other than their lingering cloud spell that does a rather
large amount of damage. When you head inside, it doesn't get any easier. I did not try placing the items in
the alter during the battle, but I might suggest giving it a try, as the Avatar might clean this room up for you.
Otherwise you have to take down a deamon, a Rakasha, an Adimite Golem, and a powerful mage that casts time stop
and gates in a pit fiend. After you free the Avatar, he rewards you with the Staff of the Woodlands +4.
b)
Palace Enterance. This is where you face Irenicus, good luck....
