Peldvale You should visit this area before you clean the Bandit’s Camp to the North, since it will be full of bandits and you’ll be able to scalp them all! Arrows will fly all over the place, so it is usually an interesting place to be. NOTE: not all the random monsters on the map will be there. On some visits you may find monsters in some locations and on some other visits the monsters will elsewhere. 1- VICONIA: Viconia (NE, Drow Elf Female, Cleric) asks you to protect her because she is chassed by a Flaming Fist Mercenary. The mercenary accuses her of murder and you can side with either of the involved parties. If you side with the mercenary, Viconia will attack you. Kill her for a good 800 Exp. If you are evil, however, you may wish Viconia to join your party. Therefore, kill the mercenary(no reputation loss) and ask her to join(you lose 2 points of reputation for walking around with a drow). 2- PALIN: A man who will tell you how his uncle, an adventurer, got eaten by a huge monster who ambushed his party. Apparently, this is a reference to the medieval parody “Jabberwocky” played by the British actor Michael Palin. 3- RAIKEN: Raiken is the leader of the bandits during this raid of Peldvale. You can ask him to join his group, which may lead to you being brought to the Bandit’s Camp for a chat with Tazok(I haven’t tested it, though). You may also kill him for 650 Exp. and a War Hammer +1.
