Location: A18




This area is situated just South of the famous Firewine Ruins, an elven outpost destroyed in a war many centuries ago. The area is mostly deserted and has been used as a burial ground. As a direct consequence, many Skeletons inhabit it. NOTE: This area was designed for a medium-high level party and can be quite a challenge for a low level party. If you have trouble with it, try coming back at a later point in the game.

1- ENTRANCE TO THE NASHKEL MINES

2- ZEELA, MANEIRA, LAMALHA AND TELKA:

A group of assassins who will pose quite a threat to your party. This is a tough encounter, so be well prepared. Zeela and Lamalha are both clerics and have a good number of HPs. Telka is a thief who shoots Arrows of Fire with a lot of accuracy and Maneira is also a thief who throws Darts of Wounding. Together, they are worth 3300 Exp. and they have a lot of treasures to loot: Studded Leather +1, Leather +2, Plate Mail, Arrows of Fire, Darts of Wounding and diverse potions: Hill Giant Strength, Potion of Power, Potion of Stone Form, Potion of Magic Blocking and Oil of Fiery Burning(a VERY good potion!).

3- CAVE:

There is a ghoul and 81 gp. to be found inside.

4- HENTOLD:

A grave robber who’s mind is tormented by an undead who wants his dagger back. Hentold asks you to take the dagger back to the Revenant who can be found at the cave (5). There are 2 ways of solving this quest:

Easy way: Give the dagger back to the Revenant. He dies and you get 900 Exp.

Hard way: Decide to keep the dagger (it is a Dagger +2 after all, worth 1000 gp. in any shop!). You’ll have to kill the Revenant and you’ll get 3000 Exp.

5- CAVE:

The Revenant inside wants his dagger back. See Hentold for more details. He can only be hit by magic(+1 or better) weapons, so be careful. He also has some resistance against missile weapons. There is also a Potion of Invisibility and a Potion of Freedom to be found inside the cave and a bit of gold.

6- NARCILLICUS HARWILLIGER NEEN:

A mage who has discover how to summon slimes and jellies. If you ask him the spell, he gets angry and attacks you. He also summons some slimes or jellies(from 2-4 of them) and some may be immune to missile weapons and magic(I talk about Mustard Jellies). Narcillicus himself is worth 1400 Exp. and has a Knave’s Robe and 3 scrolls on him: Burning Hands, Web and Lightning Bolt. Depending on the type of slimes he conjures, you get different amounts of experience. Mustard Jellies are worth 2000 Exp. each.

7- CAVE:

You’ll have to fight 3 Ghasts when you enter this cave (650 Exp. each) but it is well worth it! You can loot the cave for a Chainmail +1, a Potion of Frost Giant Strength, 5 Arrows +2, a Greenstone Ring, a Pearl Necklace and a Wand of Monster Summoning.
